Sutcliffe is coming..
Sutcliffe is the new band featuring yours truly. Coming soon by way of Liverpool or something like that (stay tuned).
Of course the hot place to be for bands is My Space so if you want to hear the latest track "Breakaway" you need to go there...
(Don't forget to silence the player on this site.)
Join up as My Space is the next Friendster. Perhaps then I'll have a friend on there if you join me. Yeah, sure My Space skews even younger than Friendster but it is the happening place for music - so get over yourself and join up so you can stay hip and young!!!
Be happy :)

Fireworks!!!
2 new top secret tracks in the audio player from my band.
Fireworks (yes timely for the 4th of July :)
and Rainbow Down.
Let me know what you think of these tracks. It's an evolving sound I'm working on. The 60's meets the 80's meets the 00's....
I wrote them with my Brainwall music partners in LA this past week.
Enjoy the 4th!

QE 4 Straight DannyK!!!
OK,
I just got done taping Queer Eye for the Straight Guy with the Fab Five this past week. It will air in late summer! Thanks to all my friends who came out to the Cutting Room. It was an amazing event and most important, although there was some elements of DannyK "makover" (such as a cleaner haircut and some new duds) - it was really all about my charity School Bus Rock.
More pic and stuff soon on the event!
The School Bus Rock Foundation is focused on assisting Big Brothers Big Sisters with developing outreach, mentoring and in-school programs that attract musicians’ involvement in the musical education of today’s children. By fostering mentoring relationships between musicians and school-age children, School Bus Rock will help nurture their interest not only in music, but also help them become more successful students and individuals.
A new site will be coming soon at schoolbusrock.org

New Tuneage
New songs from DannyK - no Apprentice stuff here!
Check out the little audio player at the top. I've uploaded some new "Neonerd" tunes. These are all rough demos. Still Life Variations is new - extended - but I think the lower key is not as hip. If you can't tell from the first track - I'm a peacemonger. Blessed are they.
Let me know what you think here!

Apprentice - Episode 11 - American Eagle
This one was a quicky I did at 5:00 AM on Friday after the show and I was tired!! It tells the story, although it's not the most crazy/wild one. Dig the cool guitar. I had a track with Rick Neigher playing the Steely Dan vibe guitar which I used here. Rick Rocks!!!
Peace, DK

She's Aprincess - Video, Cool Music Track and Princess Erin !!!
Well this weeks recap is totally awesome!
I did a special video, with the cool help of Home Depot folks, shot right on W.23rd Street at the store. Reflecting back, this was a deja vu for me. You see, in the very first task (Burger King), the wacky "ball game" was made (overnight by myself with no team help!) with wood and shelving that we bought at the Home Depot. Alas, that footage never made the show, but here's new footage to make up for it.
Many thanks to Neal Ten Eyck who was the shooter ("DP" if yer in the biz) and also directed the dealio with myself.
Also, super-kudo's to Jazzymn Banks who did a totally amazing job editing this puppy.
**Pause for happy reflection of all the GREAT friends I have to help out these wacky vid'yo projects**
Mike Tarshi drops in for some fun on this one, as well as Erin! She was such a cool sport. I mean she was just fired by the Donald and now she was ready to rock and roll in my video!!
The Home Depot folks, especially Eric O, were QUITE AMAZING!
First:
If you just want to hear the song, then download the puppy here.
View, Listen and enjoy!

Rock Auction Video - Recap of Apprentice Episode 8
A Live Song - with a video??!!!
Here 'tis the crazy music video I shot in NYC in Chelsea with my ever so hipster friend, Langdon Doty (AWESOME DIRECTOR #2). This one is a lot of fun! Also featuring a guest appearance by Mike Tarshi - the guy that wanted to throw me out the window on the Apprentice! We are now good friends after I taught Mike that in this world we should be lovers - not fighters.
Most important it stars the total cool rock babe Jessie Diamond
(You must check out her web site - she's totally awesome and the next Gwen Stefani: Great voice and tunes!)
Special thanks goes to the Hotel Chelsea and Chelsea Guitars who were great. Word to Dan!
And most important to my many friends at FUSE TV!!! Especially Chet (Thanks for showing up!), Rob, Marinela and Dillon.

Apprentice Episode 5 - Music Recap - Rubs and Casting - by Danny K!
OK, it was another dooooooozey! What a great time. Both teams did a great job finally, but Magna took the hit by a few bucks! You figured that crazy casting idea was gonna go South. Net Worth is one of those teams that does something pretty bold, in a pretty stupid way (calculated risks? have you heard?) and it just seems to work!
Lucky Net Worth, I say!
Here is the song for your listening displeasure - Enjoy!

Filming / No Squares
The ambitious No Squares documentary on music passion and record stores, "Counterevolutions," is coming along great. We are working on the trailer now.
I also interviewed legendary music producer, Phil Ramone, at Sterling Sound in NYC. He was really wonderful and generous with his time. A truly incredible person!
In early August I wrote and directed a music video for the great Austin band Fastball who had the big mainstream hit, "The Way" a few years back. The video is for a tune called "Airstream" (check it out). We filmed at multiple locations in Boston, including the classic Coolidge Corner Cinema, where the band went to see the mock documentary we set up. In the theater, they watch real Airstream footage provided by the company. No Squares video wizard, Josef Nguyen, will be compositing the Airstream footage over the green screen shots we took at the theater.

The Main Music
"Still Life Variations" is now planned for release in 2007. The project will be a live stage musical AND a feature movie. Call me crazy - because it's going to happen. It will now begin with a 6 minute short - animation "Lennon in Heaven" Here is part of the synopsis:
When John Lennon arrives in heaven, he is immediately taken with desire to find his deceased best friend Stuart Sutcliffe. Stuart was the “fifth Beatle” who died in 1962 at the age of 21 from a brain hemorrhage. John and Stuart grew very close during the formidable years of The Beatles as they were truly best friends. Yet, seeing Stuart in Heaven is not possible.
The angels inform John that as he is very blessed with many talents it is now time to move on from his human past and become a angel guardian lending his special creative gifts to the angelic pastime.
John is to learn now, about the past, in the form of a play with music staged by angels who tell the story so John can now fully understand.
But the past may not be all that it seemed.
